Hola Amigos! Thank you to everyone who came to our Year 5 assembly! We have thoroughly enjoyed our learning during our topic 'Hola Mexico' and we hope you liked hearing about it. In English, we have continued to work on our myths, thinking carefully about the problems our main characters will face and how they will solve them. Karate Taster

Week Beginning 19th November 2018

What a wonderful week of learning we have had! In English, we have been consolidating the features of a myth and have used these to plan our own myths. We created intricate story maps which have helped us to start our introductions. Watch this space! As mathematicians, we have been looking at different types of numbers: square numbers, cube numbers and prime numbers. We have enjoyed discovering these, learning their properties and applying their new knowledge to solve reasoning problems. Eager to begin preparations, we have started to practise Christmas carols this week to get ourselves ready for our concert on the last day of term. You may catch us humming delightful tunes! We have also begun rehearsing our year group assembly - we have demonstrated a mature, professional attitude in these sessions.
